Adobe Illustrator - Rename Objects/Layer Scripts With Shortcut

1. Rename Object.js

This script can do below mentioned operations:

• Open a prompt which will ask the user to rename the selected object.

• You can select multiple objects and rename them with the same name.

• You can rename individual shapes, paths and groups with/without going in isolation mode

• If no object is selected, it will rename the selected layer. If no layer is selected actively, it will rename the last selected layer

2. Rename All layers.js

• Running this script will rename all the layers based on their first item/object name present in them.
• This is helpful when you are done with all the renaming of your objects and then use "Release to layers(Sequence)" option to make separate layers from these objects.
